[February 2007] In an effort to improve the clinical facilities, resources, and options available to patients, Yale Cancer Center and Yale Medical Oncology, in collaboration with Yale-New Haven Hospital, have recently expanded their clinical facilities to a second convenient location at One Long Wharf Drive in New Haven.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to provide our patients with state-of-the-art cancer care in a second clinical setting in New Haven. Our expansion to One Long Wharf will provide our medical oncologists with the space they need to care for cancer patients throughout the region, while our new cancer center building is being constructed,” said Dr. Richard L. Edelson, Director of Yale Cancer Center.
Beginning on February 5, 2007, patients receiving cancer care from Yale Medical Oncology will now have their appointments scheduled at one of two locations – the Yale Physicians Building at 800 Howard Avenue or at One Long Wharf Drive.
The newly renovated facility at One Long Wharf includes private patient consultation and exam rooms, expanded infusion treatment areas overlooking Long Island Sound, and a newly designed patient resource and research area for patients and their families. One Long Wharf is conveniently located directly off of I-95 and offers free, designated parking for patients.

Yale-New Haven Hospital, Yale Cancer Center, and Yale University are currently embarking on a $450 million development project to build a new 14 story cancer hospital in New Haven. The new facility is scheduled to open in 2009.
