And many of within a few minutes walk from the medical center. This guide is organized into two sections, Wooster Square (New Haven’s Little Italy) and downtown New Haven which includes many neighborhoods such as the town green district, theater district and Ninth Square). Wooster Square ("Little Italy") New Haven is often written up in the likes of Gourmet magazine for its concentration of superb Italian restaurants, many located in the "Little Italy" neighborhood of Wooster Square. Food lore has it that pizza, officially called apizza, was indeed invented right here is New Havens Wooster Square neighborhood. The legend has a continuous debate though: Was apizza invented at Frank Pepe's or Sally's in Wooster Square? Pizza lovers looking for authentic New Haven Pizza have so many excellent choices, Many people make a concerted effort to try them all before designating New Havens best apizza.
