Congratulations to our Connecticut Magazine top doctors

This year, 49 of our doctors were recommended by peers for the list

(April 2012) Connecticut Magazine named 49 Yale Medical Group physicians in fields from dermatology to thoracic surgery among the best in the state in its annual "Top Doctors" issue, which is in the magazine's April issue, available on newsstands.

To choose the top doctors, the magazine sends a questionnaire to more than 5,000 physicians across the state, asking them to recommend a doctor (other than themselves) to whom they would send a loved one for expert medical care. Then it combines their names with doctors who finished at the top of the magazine's surveys from the two previous years, 2009-2011.

Vincent Quagliarello, MD, a Yale Medical Group infectious disease specialist who was included on the list, says, "It is always gratifying, as a physician, to be recognized by your peers. Optimal patient care remains our core value, whether we spend most of our time as clinicians, investigators, or educators."

Richard Antaya, MD, medical director of Yale Dermatology Associates, says, "As consultants to the physicians in Connecticut and beyond, a duty we take seriously and with pride, being listed in the "Top Doc" issue represents a nod of approval (from our physician colleagues) that we are succeeding in these efforts.
