Dr. Levesque has maintained a keen interest and involvement in all aspects of diagnostic imaging, predominantly practicing interventional procedures, neuroradiology and cross-sectional imaging for many years. In 1994, he assumed the position of Chief of the Breast Imaging Section. Drawing upon his interventional experience and general imaging background, he pioneered the development of breast ultrasound, ultrasound guided core biopsy, stereotactic core biopsy, breast MRI and MRI guided biopsy at the Hospital of St. Raphael. The breast imaging section has achieved recognition from the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. He was very involved in the development of the Women's Center for Breast Health. Dr. Levesque has also always maintained an active interest and involvement in general imaging. He was one of the founders of the Whitney Imaging Center in Hamden CT, and served as the Medical Director at that facility since from 1997 to 2013.
