Dr. Mackenzie is a 2006 graduate of Vanderbilt School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. She completed a three-year pediatric residency in 2009 and then served an additional year as pediatric chief resident at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell in New York City. In 2010, she joined Brown University in Providence RI, where she completed a three year pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Hasbro Children's Hospital. During her fellowship, she completed additional selected coursework in biostatistics, epidemiology, and evidence-based medicine through the Brown School of Public Health. She joined Yale in 2013 as a clinical instructor in pediatric emergency medicine, and she also works clinically in the pediatric emergency department of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London. Her clinical and research interests center around resident education, community-based healthcare and pediatric concussions. In her spare time, she enjoys soccer, skiing, surfing, reading, and playing piano duets with her husband.
