Surgical Pathology

The Surgical Pathology Unit renders tissue diagnoses on biopsy samples and studies surgical resection specimens in an accurate and timely fashion. All professional staff are trained in general surgical pathology and one or two specialty areas. The staff provide professional and technical consultation on fresh specimens and render second opinions on histopathology slides provided by referring physicians. The unit also provides technical consultation for laboratory services.
