Yale Oncologic and Endocrine Surgery comprises clinicians who specialize in tumors of the breast, gastrointestinal tract, and soft tissue. Special expertise is available for complex colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery and endocrine tumors. Thyroid and parathyroid gland disease is also a specific focus of interest.
A multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer is offered through the Yale-New Haven Breast Center. Surgical oncologists work closely with other specialists in medical oncology, diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy to offer the most effective care available. The center is also prepared to treat benign or cosmetic breast conditions.
The oncologic and endocrine surgery team play an integral role in Yale Cancer Center (YCC) and are active in advancing cancer care options. Through YCC, patients have access to a wide range of specialists and a large network of support services.
